#TrainingThursday πŸ‘Ÿ

Today on the blog I am sharing my fitness journey so far! I have a modeling shoot this weekend and I don't think I have ever been as nervous to measuring up as I was for this one! The past couple of weeks was a little tough for me as I had gastritis which is inflammation of my stomach! So that took about 2 weeks to heal and so I was forced to rest. But what it made me realize even more is how much I really appreciate and love to workout! So once I could return to the gym I came back running no pun intended!
I even met up with a personal trainer and even dud one of those cool body scans to see my measurements and to make sure I can attain my fitness goals. The trainer even made a customized fitness plan just for me which takes into account my busy schedule.

So this past week was my week back and I focused on cardio and did a cleanse as well to make sure I am ready for the shoot on Saturday!

Also what I realized from this short term setback is how sensitive I can be concerning  changes in my body image. I never realized how much I took it for granted to be able to workout as I please and to be able to eat like I wanted.

This setback made me STOP and analyze all of my eating habits and even more so of my positive self talk as well!
Having to be intentional about my eating habits and also postively affirming that everything will work out and thay regardless of my weight I still feel beautiful and I still am ME!!
Positive affirmations can make a world of difference!

Also without further ado this is my top 5 songs from my #playlisy this week

1. No Frauds by Nicki Minaj
2. *Creme de la Creme by B.o.B*
3. Flowers by Hare Squead
4. I Fall apart by Post Malone
5. Right by my Side by Nicki Minaj -oldie but still pretty good!

Tuesday Shoesday ☔ Edition

Tuesday Shoesday Rain Edition
Today was such a rainy day & all I wanted I do was be cuddled up on the couch and read a book #dontjudge
There is something about the rain as background music soulful and tranquil that makes me want to dive into a good book!
But for todays blogpost I'm sharing some of my favorite rainy day accessories to brighten up any rainy day outfit!

The boots listed above are perfect for any rainy day! The pink ones are actually from Corkys and are Hunter Dupes for under $35!
For the actual Hunters Zappos is having a great deal on them for under $135! Hunters come in a wide range of colors are definitely splurge-worthy because I believe they will be around for years to come!
My favorite floral rainboots are on sale as well! I love the blue color of the boots makes it easy to match them!

For Jackets majority of my favorites are from North Face as they are good quality and last awhile! I actually gave a bright yellow North Face raincoat I still use today! I bought it when I was in college in the kids size!
Look similar to the yellow ones above

These both are  versatile just like the grey and blue options are ! Both are under $150 & well worth it too!

Also as a bonus accessory to brighten up any outfit.........a Umbrella!!
I love love love this one from Juicy Couture that is available at Nordstrom Rack! Super cute leopard print!!

Well hope everyone stays dry the next couple of days with this rainy weather and finds an amazing book to read to enjoy this weather!

πŸ’„Makeup Monday πŸ’„

My March Ipsy bag was great this month! I spent all morning coloring the makeup bag and searching my office for random marker colors! Lol

My favorite sample hands down is the Dirty Little Secret Baked Highlighter πŸ™ŒπŸ™Œ
It is gorgeous on and I have already started using it as I have dark skin it works really good!

My second favorite is the Glossier Rose Balm Dotcom which is a Univetsal Skin Salve and it smells amazing!!! I have already gotten a bottle of the Glossier via my Scentbird collab which I will be discussing soon so I was not disappointed by the skin salve!
With the roses 🌹 theme there was an additional 1000 Roses Soothing Lotion that smelled great as well! It's a body lotion and can be used like regular lotion.

Also I got the Tarte Sex kitten eyeliner and it actually works pretty good as the pencil is easy to use!

Last but not least there was a Glamovrow  Precision Eyebrow Pencil that i actually haven't used as I usually fill in my brows with my mascara if they look thin! Which is pretty rare as I have naturally thick brows!
But overall this bag was great for my coloring skills! I felt like a kid with childlike creativity in a way! This challenge was so creative and really made me think and honestly sit still for a moment as I usually am running around and don't have time to really relax and this was a great opportunity to do that!

Also if you want to sign up for Ipsy

Use my code
The best thing about using Ipsy is that you can try new products but also you can get discounts on full price items!

The Universal Thread is a new brand for Target. The clothing & shoes are all so stylish and affordable and will be good game changers for the next season!

The shoes that I chose for today's post all mainly focus on versatility and flexibility and trendiness!  They all are great for a day at the beach and also a casual brunch. For each shoe option I have included a possible accessory or outfit recommendation for inspiration!

*To shop the shoes in the center click here(

These shoes would go good with rolled up blue or white jeans and paired with a cute basic top Link to shop these shoes(

When I see these shoes I think about pairing them for Easter brunch with a spring and flowy dress! I like that the sandals are brown and neutral so it can be paired with any dress design for versatility! Link to shop shoes(

These sandals are cute paired with basic color jeans and for a casual day! I imagine a combo with black and white and neutral style/military style clothing! They come in this green color and black!

International Womens Day 2018

For the past 3 years I have written a blog post about International Women's Day and I feel like today's day felt a little different than the ones before. I feel as if today is a great reminder and affirmation of what I have been actively keeping in the forefront of my thoughts and actions for the past year. Women empowerment WOMEN EMPOWERMENT
I remember this snippet of a video I was watching of Oprah where she explained several aspects of her life and career's journey and how it shaped her to be who she is today. I remember very plainly a specific section where Oprah asked her boss for a raise and her boss's reaction to her question so plainly explains why feminists are here today.
His reaction to her rightful question of a raise was, Are you married?, Do you have children to feed and support?, Do you have a mortgage??  Her reaction was "no" and Oprah so plainly says that she walked away from the conversation knowing that it was time for her to move on and that she was not going to get that raise at that point in time..... The fact that her marriage status, amount of children and bills would be brought into the equation is shocking when it should be based on her performance alone.
Now take a second and ask yourself this... Do you think a man would ever be asked those same questions in a performance review?

NOOOO the answer is a resounding NOOOO
This scenario alone is an example of the widespread subconscious belief of inequality regarding women that is so embedded in this country and so many other countries DNA.
I think the best way to fight this is to actively bring attention to the hidden issue and to actively support other women!

I think today alone is not the only day that we as women should support each other and to actively and intentionally do this daily. That is my goal! So that my future daughter can live and excel in this country and not worry about fitting into glass slippers but worry about shattering glass ceiling!!!

Technology Update

Technology Update for the week

This by far has been the busiest week I have had in awhile and if you missed it, my laptop was broken over the weekend. My macbook of over 5 years that got me through late night assignments in college and was my go to for class notes and Pinterest scavenger hunts when the professor was way too monotone for their own good..... this laptop died a horrible and tragic death due to my foot somehow pushing it to its death..... and shattering the screen and ruining the motherboard....

YES I know I am incredibly dramatic but thats what life does to you when you have to hear and witness the horrible errie death sound of your laptop's incessant beeping to notify you that it has served its time and is ascending into the technology heavens!!  Im kidding but I will posting be updates from the delayed posts this week.

But on to the FANTASTIC NEWS... drumroll please......... I was so incredibly blessed to have my fiancee surprise me with a MacBook Air yesterday!! Seriously I feel so lucky especially since it was his birthday last Saturday and he turns around surprises me!

So now I will be up and running and I'm currently tweaking the website for new changes as well!Mainly I just wanted to check in with everyone as I have gotten several emails of support during this time without my laptop! I seriously didn't realize how much time I spent on my laptop and think about how important and its integral aspect of my blogging career!

This week has been by far the craziest and I really  was able to realize even more so  how much I love blogging and it is seriously such a passion of mine and I am so grateful to everyone who has followed along on this journey with me!

Exciting news coming up soon and I will be updating from the past 2 weeks as I have had several great content posts on Instagram that needs to be integrated over to the site as I will be sharing the links to shop my feed as well!!

Til next time,

Peace & Love,
