Top 5 Beauty Picks in my Shopping Cart

Today on the blog sharing some of my favorite beauty picks! I have already went by Sephora and tried out these products and are currently in my Top 5 of Beauty Purchases for Summer. They have actually helped me get a flawless look while making it look natural healthier skin!!



This primer is top notch and has seriously changed the application of my makeup. I have actually tried different primers but this one is my fav as its lightweight and doesn't make me feel ashy with the shade and pigment.




This is great as it actually comes in different tints for different skintones. I personllay use the candlelight color. Its a splurge for eye care product but so worth it!






This collection has a wide range of colors available and i actually love the colors as I use 2 of the concealers for the contour and highlight! My skin tone had darkened from my trip to Gulf Shores back in May and so I have actually been using darker concealer and foundation as just a shade darker can make a difference in your makeup routine. With the wide range of colors available NARS is a game changer!



The colors are so summery/fall and high pigment this is a great palette!!! I personally like the bronzey colors and the nudes! Also made me step out of my comfort zone and try new colors!


This is such a great formula for lengthening your lashes and I use it in combination with my Lancome Primer.  I use the Lancome with different mascaras and it works really well!

#Training Thursday.... Positive Benefits of Drinking Water



For today's post I am highlighting the positive effects of drinking water! The reason I am highlighting water is because it actually has been something that has come up for me in my fitness journey!
Everyone knows and hears the saying that if you want clearer skin you should drink water as it will clear out your body! But overall the positive effects of drinking water has more benefit than just increasing your physical beauty!

The 2 big questions I always used as an excuse when I didn't drink enough water was...

How much water should I drink?
I always see those buff athletes walking around with a gallon of water and realized that was not for me! I could barely pick up a gallon of water let alone drink a gallon of water!!! 

The most popular answer is to drink 64 oz or half a gallon a day! That 8*8 Rule!

Which seems like a lot!  I've also heard that you should drink 70% of your body weight in oz! So if someone weighs 110 pounds then they would consume 77oz of water! 
By calculating it based on your body weight it's more tailored to you!
I have been drinking water more as I am intentionally trying to slim down my body in certain areas and also wanted to have healthier skin and overall better health!
You can also use a app to track your water intake like a game to keep up with your water consumption as well! 


Most popular statement and question is I HATE the TASTE of WATER!!

Which is a super valid point! I always thought water was too plain but then I realized that not all water taste the same!! 
So I definitely urge you to try out new flavors of waters to see what's easy for you to drink! I personally like water to be tasteless and not have certain minerals that are distinctively different! Something easy to chug!! 

I personally like Fiji Water and Nestle Pure Water! Nestle is my overall favorite as it's super budget friendly for my area and I drank it as a kid at track meets and in the summer
While I drink Fiji second most!

Sharing my top 5 tips to Increase your water intake!

1. Drink your favorite water and have access to it! Bring a 12 pack to work or even in your car! The easier and more convenient the better!
2. Research the positive health benefits for your fitness and health goals of drinking more water! Example if you have high blood pressure then drinking more water and decreasing your sodium will be a win-win!

3. Purchase a gorgeous water bottle that fits your style and will increase your water intake! It's seriously all in the little things to increase the water intake!

4. Track your water progress and stay motivated! You will notice the results of even weight loss after a couple of days of rehydrating and refueling your body with water!
5. If you absolutely hate the taste of water add a sugar free additive to the water so that you increase your water intake! Consume any flavor that you like just keep in mind you don't want it to be too sugary!


Also I am sharing these Crazy Statistics from the CDC concerning water intake in regards to demographics across the U.S! 
The stats are eye opening regards to the demographics with the lowest intake and I feel like there needs to be more awareness and access to the knowledge so that the younger generation can actively increase the intake! 
The overall benefit to drinking more water is staggering!

This was interesting considering that your socioeconomic status apparently plays a role in the water intake you have!


Among U.S. youth, plain water intake is lower in younger children, non-Hispanic black, Mexican-American.
Among U.S. adults, plain water intake is lower in older adults, lower-income adults, and those with lower education.
U.S. adolescents who drink less water tended to drink less milk, eat less fruits and vegetables, drink more sugar-sweetened beverages, eat more fast food, and get less physical activity.

It's sooo important that we actively educate and encourage the consumption of water in our youth and really everyone in general!

Today on the blog sharing my #makeupreview of the New New #coverfxpowerplay foundation! I have had it for a couple of weeks and was unsure of how I felt as it wasn't full coverage and felt like medium coverage! Overall I like it as it has a buildable formula and actually was the perfect color pigment for me which was really impressive! Also couldn't get over the powder it looked like 🍫 Cocoa Powder πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚


I personally was looking for a good powder to try as I actually don't usually use powder as I have dry skin and not the oily type and I was impressed with the formula.


I use the powder as a setting powder and it works pretty good. Great for people with oily skin as well! 


In regards to the full coverage claim that was the reason I was hesitant to do my review as it isn't FULL coverage but rather medium! It's super light weight which is PERFECT for summer! I use it in combo with my full coverage foundation from EstΓ©e Lauder in a lighter shade! 


Overall I would recommend the product as long as you know it's medium coverage and you choose the correct shade! There are 40 shades so there is a high chance you will choose the correct one!

#Makeup Monday

For today's post, I'm going over an easy 5 step recipe to make a brown sugar face/body scrub! As I have sensitive skin I was on the lookout for an organic option and I found one below: 

Homemade Brown Sugar Face Scrub

Cup of Brown Sugar
Teaspoon Extra Virgin Coconut Oil(Solid Version)
8-10 ct of Blueberries
Small Mason Jars- I personally like the Ball brand! It's great quality and some come with lids! 
A teaspoon of Vanilla Extra
Bowl or Plastic Bags


1. Crush blueberries (blend them if possible) into small pieces. The smaller they ate the easier it is to mix with the scrub! Save the juice and skin of the blueberries as it's healthy for your skin. Blueberries are full of antioxidants which are great for your skin!

2. Add the Brown Sugar!! (Brown sugar is a great exfoliant for people that have sensitive skin! I personally have sensitive skin and it's better to use this instead of salts.

3. Add the vanilla extract and coconut oil to the mixture.  The vanilla extract is good for keeping your skin young looking and is also full of antioxidants and heals/ soothes your skin! And it smells tasty! While the extra virgin coconut oil helps as it's antifungal & antibacterial while being a great moisturizer!
4. Add more brown sugar if needed to make the scrub more scrub-like!
5. Voila, you're done! Slather away!! * Make sure you store in an airtight container once done!* 

I personally like this scrub as it smells sooo good! It was hard for me not to eat it considering all of the ingredients were organic and edible! 
This will assist you tremendously if you have sensitive skin like me as it will exfoliate while moisturizing your skin!
