Training Thursday

Officially Have a New Training Partner💕

#TrainingThursday led to a Breakthrough

I have been having a time getting back in the groove of things with my work & workout schedule!

But consistency is key and getting back on the horse is tough when I have been inactive for a bit!

So I realizedI realize that if I use the lack of consistency as an excuse it causes some weird domino effect where I end up getting nothing done because I wasn't consistent and I can't create a streak if I miss the first day.  So by shifting my perspective on consistency and creating a point and reward system for myself this works WAYY better for my goal achievement!

Y'all when I say this break through has alleviated so much of the work guilt I was feeling and has created a space for self acceptance and achievement, its crazy! Its all about finding a perspective that works for you and your work ethic!

I feel like I always have these breakthroughs on a run as I find so much clarity then when I'm inactive!

What about you? What's a recent breakthrough you've made in your business or personal life?

Share below as your answer could help someone else who's struggling with the same issue!

#Thanksgiving Recap

Hey yall what a week it has been! This Thanksgiving holiday has been a small source of stress for me.... actually a large amount of stress as I had been sooo nervous about cooking the main dish DRESSING! This is the keystone of the Thanksgiving dinner besides turkey and yall the pressure was so real!! I had literally had a nightmare the night before of forgetting some key ingredient and you wouldn't believe me unless I had a picture to show you I REALLY FORGOT a key ingredient.... THE EGGS!! I had to run to the local dollar general because ALL of the grocery stores in my hometown were closed!! Talking about midnight...mid-day run!! to get eggs!!
So drumroll.... how did the dressing go???
It went fantastic yall!!!
I seriously can not believe how great it tasted! I got the recipe from my mom, mother-in-law AND two YouTubers!! One day I will share it maybe after a couple of years of perfecting the recipe lmao because I am so proud of myself.  As I am the oldest of nine kids my brothers and sisters were talking mad crap about how the stuffing was going to turn out(which if I am being honest this definitely increased my stress level lol) so I knew I had to step it up! And the best compliment hands down was my sister AND my dad asking for seconds..... SECONDS!!! Yall that was absolutely blissful, I wish I could bottle that feeling up of accomplishment and pride in a perfume bottle yall! Whenever I'm in a pinch or need encouragement this is a def key moment for me in 2020!! Hope everyone had a fantastic holiday! Sorry, this is a late post as well as I had a dramatic reaction to some of the delicious desserts that basically took me out for three days! If you don't know, now you know I am allergic to cinnamon... gasp I know! It's an essential seasoning for the holiday and I literally ate several desserts: ie yams and sweet potato pie.... so I was in complete denial about my allergic reaction... Only until I woke up with a pretty swollen throat and to HAD to get a prescription from the Teledoc with a steroid prescription did I come to the realization that I'm STILL Allergic to cinnamon!
The BIG lesson I realize is listening to my body is not a one-time thing but a consistent thing. If I had paid attention to the tinge in my throat from the pie on Friday I wouldn't have needed such an extreme intervention today. But the rest and respite after the busy holiday was not what I initially intended but were a welcome gift as I am prepping for the last month of the year!! ohhhh December!!
Thanks for following along!
til next time,
